CHARACTER BIOS
Anaki - A female witch who is primarily Talented in Fire, secondarily in Air. Her close friends call her "Ana". Ana is currently a sophomore in college, studying meteorology.
Grim - A non-Talented male, and Ana's closest friend. They've known each other since high school. Grim was actually christened "Isengrim" by his parents, who were far too into the Lord of the Rings--and he hates it. Grim likes to tease Ana about her Talent. He's also a sophomore in college, studying art.
Charm - Anaki's pet black-footed ferret, but not her familiar. Charm is fond of crawling up Grim's pant legs, because he likes the girly squeal that Grim makes.
Orlan - A male witch who is primarily Talented in Air, secondarily in Water. He's actually also a student of meteorology, one year behind Anaki and Grim. He would like to find a way to use his Talent to help relieve droughts and other natural disasters.
Miss Kylena - Anaki and Orlan's meteorology professor. Kylena loves to call her students by their full names, taking a perverse pleasure in making them squirm. Kylena also works for the International Paranormal Control Bureau (the IPC), and cannot wait to amass enough hard evidence to bring Anaki in to the authorities.
